Happy National Florida Day (#NationalFloridaDay)! To celebrate, I’m sharing a list of books set in Florida, also known as the Sunshine State. These are perfect to use for reading challenge prompts or if you enjoy picking up books that are set in certain locations. (I know I’m really looking forward to sharing my bookish list for National Minnesota Day in March!)

One thing I learned while researching for this post is that there are a LOT of cozy mysteries set in Florida … I may or may not be changing some of my travel plans ๐Ÿ˜จ

A bit about #NationalFloridaDay

If you’re like me and you enjoy finding fun or quirky days to celebrate, I highly recommend checking out Days of the Year – it’s where I found out about National Florida Day!

To sum up: National Florida Day is celebrated every year on January 25th, though it’s not an official holiday. Sorry, no day off work for us ๐Ÿ˜” But if you’re looking for a way to celebrate (I mean, other than reading amazing books set in Florida!), you can visit one of the Sunshine State’s 175 state parks or any of its many beaches.

Whatever you choose to do, celebrate the uniqueness of Florida and all it has to offer (like sun and sand when some of us are stuck in snow and cold).
